This has been the most challenging bait of mine yet to date. The original was basswood all hand carved using knives. I then molded and poured with a two part polyurethane resin. Screw eyes are molded into joints for aded strength along with stainless wires. Post pour the bait was weighted sanded and painted using various techniques including hand painting and airbrush. The finish is a durable automotive finish. The total length is 11in and weighs 8.87oz for a super slow sink. Really enjoyed working on this one. Thanks for looking guys!

Got this in the mail and here is a little before and after of the paint job I gave it. Few painting styles here including spray paint antiquing airbrush purple glitter in the stripe and clearcoat. Hope you enjoy! -

I hand carved this glide perch from basswood. I then made a 2 part silicone mold. For pouring I used a 2 part polyurethane resin. Stainless wires, weights and eye hooks were all molded in for increased strength. I then tested the bait as well as airbrushed it. The bait spins on my lure dryer for 24hrs for a brush on 2 part epoxy sealant. It swims amazing.

I am new to lure building and I am casting this swimbait I just finished carving. I am going to weight this within my mold on the wire using some splitshots before casting the resin. I am using a floating resin (smoothcast featherlite). How much weight would you recommend starting with for the first pour?
