Joelh831
Hi guys, so I just started pouring swimbaits (open pour) in silicon and for some reason all my lure have a ton of tiny ari bubbles/half bubbles all around it. Am I doing something wrong my mold is smoth and I heat up the plastisol in a microwave. I'm not sure if I'm heating too much or not enough, or if I'm supposed to heat up the mold also or how. Thanks Edited March 14, 2017 by Joelh831 Added photo
Jig Man
Try too heat in shorter times and do a lot of stirring to see if the bubbles go away.
bryanmc
What are you stirring with? If you're using something made of wood that could be the problem.
Baitjunkys
Are the bubbles in the cup? or just in the bait.
Joelh831
Hey guys I'm stirring it with a stainless butter knife and I do check and thier is no moisture at all. And the bubbles are only on the bait the cup looks free and clear of any bubbles even after it cools down and sets I inspected all the extra plastic in the cups and no bubbles. Is thier a certain way I should be heating the plastisol or on a certain temp setting and length of time or dose the mold need to be heated as well if so how or how hot. I've also inspected the mold and it does not have all those imperfections on it not even close. Thanks guys
