  2. I have that mold. I can check tonight to see fitment .
  3. Looks like a Mustad 91768 to me. Between a 4/0-7/0
  4. Barlows has a list of all the hooks that will fit this mold. Including some VMC and Gamakatsu hooks. Just another good reason why I shop Barlows so often! https://barlowstackle.com/do-it-freestyle-jig-mold-with-wire-keeper-p3975/
  5. Freestyle jig mold. Size ranging from 1/4 to 1/2 oz using 3/0 or 4/0 hooks
  6. Probably Gamis 604. It's a 90 degree hook. I don't know if there is a thicker hook. What mold are you putting this in and what size hook in which cavity?
  7. Does anyone know what model of jig hooks are used in the vmc moon eye jigs or have a suggestion for something similar? Looking to make some jig heads for soft plastics/swim baits. Looking for a strong hook that won't bend easily

  10. Thanks guys... Yes, I agree Comrad on that tail connection point.... I'll do some work on that.. The outside diameter of each ring is .28" So maybe 2 or 3 rings on the tail connection that are in the .18" OD which should allow enough material to wrap around it.. Is this kind of what you had in mind? ( see pic below )
  11. it seems to be a hard one to find, I am going to try some from LPO, and Janns so hopefully they dont crack the plastic blanks.
  12. i bought some from Lure Parts Online. i don't know if they have this size, but they have several sizes.
  13. looking for screw eyes to match the sizes on the pic or something really close. anybody know where to find these? thank you
  14. The tail and worm body look like they need a better connection point. A butt joint isn't a great connection, and the tail may fall off during normal use. Something protruding from the tail that the worm body can wrap around to create a mechanical connection would be much better. Otherwise, the worm looks good.

    Those look great!
  16. Yes, definetly like the included tail mold. No extra mold to buy!
  17. I like the idea of having a tail mold made with the main mold.
  18. I've heard smoking a mold works. But, I've been using Frankford Arsenals dropout spray. It's a game changer and I think much better than the smoking method.
  19. All your favorite online vendors have them. I like the Xurons from Barlows for the American made quality. But, all the tackle parts vendors sell them. As do most hardware stores. Just ask for flush cut nippers.
  20. One thing that helped me was to "smoke the mold" with candle wax. Light a candle and let it smoke the mold black. Made all the difference. I fought incomplete pours for years. Try it.
  21. I'm working on a new 4 1/2 inch worm mold that I will be machining and offering for sale on our site and wanted to get some input on suggested changes. ( see attached drawing screen shot ) The diameter of the worm body will be just a tad over 1/4" ( .28" to be exact ) In this mold I'm going to include a second port for making just the tail sections. ( good idea.... or bad? ) Thanks for any input or suggested changes.... Thanks, Kent Lakeside Molds Nisswa, MN www.lakesidemolds.com
