Anyone have any suggestions as to what to use as a weed deflector when hooks are exposed like this?

Best thing to do is bend some wire and form it into a weedguard, take the ends and make a tiny tiny hole and epoxy it to seal it. hope this helps. tight lines!

Thanks for the info, that looks like some pretty fine wire... I guess I could use some guitar wire if I was to go that route. Thanks

i would be cautious with guitar wire i play guitar and some of the strings i have seen have corroded over time and became very brittle you might have to go stainless steel or something protected. A thought come to mind like the titanium weed guards on a terminator jig possibly?

What about using the fiber weed guards like those that are found on jigs? Drill two small holes in front of the hooks, epoxy in the fiber guards and it's ready to fish.
