Learnt that Lacquer + permanent marker = smudge... Salvaged it and sealed with expoxy. Also learnt that lacquer + permanent marker + paint brush = vibrant colour that is much better than the marker alone.
NB: If I were to use markers again I'd use a brush + lacquer to paint them as it is a good technique.
