I like the colors, shape and size of your baits, but I think you need to take a look at your wood prep before paint. From the picture, there are pits and I can see the wood grain. rjbass 1 Posted August 16, 2007 Report Share When I make balsa baits I seal them with a thinned down devcon 2 ton. This strengthens wood without too much weight and gives a glass like surface to paint on. Just scuff up the surface with a scotch brite pad and prime, paint and top coat.
