This picture give you a hint at the meticulous detail in John's paintwork. He treats the head, and the "hidden-weight" area of the lure as though it is an inch-and-a-half long hard bait utilizing a fully developed multi-color paint scheme, just as he would on a crankbait, etc (only in miniature!). I suspect that there is a time and a place that this spinnerbait would be just as effective, or perhaps even more-so without its skirt! I keep thinking about burning it (and these baits will flat burn!) over points in clear highland reservoirs in autumn with just a few strands of clear/silver/gold for big smallies and fat aggressive spots!

Hopefully, this fall, on a lake near me! Beautiful work John!
