I modified a do-it mold to accept a bigger hook and scraped a line in the mold to hold a piece of paperclip.

I have the same mold. And I'll tell you, the paper clip thing: Brilliant. That flat eye hook is a great option for the round jig but that paper clip for a weed guard? I like it.

No doubt, I'm nervous about "modifying a mold." I have several I need to but I'm not going to do it until some people here tutor me.
