Foiled Minnow
Haven't posted anything in a while so I decided to do a foiled bait since I haven't done one in a while. It's built out of paulownia and is 3 1/4" long. Createx paints with epoxy top coat. It's designed to be a sinker and the minnow shape was chosen so that if it didn't work right as a glider it could be made into a minnow chaser type lure. Tried a different color scheme on this one. It has a black back and head over sprayed with white pearl which gave it a bit of a bluish look. The shoulders are transparent leaf green and the belly is pearl white mixed with metallic silver. The red gill lines were done with a Sharpie marker. The scales in the foil were done by running the rounded end of a metal ruler over the foil before it was affixed to the bait. Thanks for looking.
