Great looking bait. Not sure how far your wanting to carry the "no paint" theme, but don't forget there are a lot of different colored woods as well as variations in color from heart wood to sap wood. Might be interesting to see what you could come up with by laminating different woods. With the glues we have these days there should be no problem with the strength of the lamination.
