Thought he was a Bass

I had one just like that hit a lipless crank that I made, thought he was a huge bass.

This was the second day I took my little purple re-paint Model A for a swim. I had caught a nice largemouth and a couple of schoolie spots when this guy hit. Was a good fight but I knew something wasn't right when he didn't jump. Besides sliming up my line and lure, the dang thing crushed one of the brand new gamakatsu hooks that I had just put on this old lure. Oh well, at least this old bait still catches fish.
