j27 8 Posted July 12, 2014 Report Share Great lookin baits!! I Was wanting to make this style of lip but I'm unsure how to attach it to the bait. I usually make the line tie in the nose. I have bought the lips from jansnetcraft but they have enough plastic space to run a pin though it to help strengthen . If you could share how you build yours I would very much appreciate it. Mostly how far is the wire under the lip going back into the body. Also are you pinning the lip or just epoxying. I build with balsa most of the time. Thanks, John Quote Link to comment

Otherwise look at a Salmo lure for an example. Great looking lures Bob! Quote Link to comment
j27 8 Posted July 13, 2014 Report Share Thanks Griffond, I do remember seeing that. But for me, it looks a little difficult to put together the way I build. But reread some of those threads may have given me some answers. I did find a comment from BobP where he stated that he just epoxied the lip with the line tie without attaching it to the internal wires if I understood it correctly. Hopefully he will correct me. Maybe I need to reopen or start a new thread . Thanks for the help! Quote Link to comment
