Thanks, First rtv mold for me. Started with an Alumalite kit bought from Hobby Lobby. Had everything but the microballoons.

Very neat process and their directions were very good along with a tip sheet.

I was actually looking to buy that exact kit you purchased at Hobby Lobby. I was wondering, how did you make the "master". The bait you put inside the rtv to make the mold?

I am just a novice but your master can be pretty much carved out of anything or a crankbait you wanted to modify to your liking. Even a $1 store rubber fish you cut your lip slot into. The micro balloon ratio and weight placement/lip size you choose will change everything.This was more of a crash course for myself on the overall process and challenges I could face in the future.

How did you put so much detail like gill plates and fins on it?

Pen dremel,plastic & super glue
