RayburnGuy 1,383 Posted March 15, 2015 Report Share Those are sweet Cami. It's hard to capture the natural iridescence of live baitfish, but you have definitely pulled it off. Great job. Ben Quote Link to comment
Cami 92 Posted March 15, 2015 Report Share Dear Ben, thank you very much, i'm honoured of your comment. It's a really simple thing to do, You have only to find the right way to block the piece of mylar inside your preffered swimbait mould. Bye. Cami Quote Link to comment
JDNO7 0 Posted August 16, 2015 Report Share Ive been trying to find a way to do an insert and have not had good results. Those look amazing!!!. So that is just a piece of mylar tubing? it looks wider than that on a couple of the plastics but that may just be how reflective it is. You just position it in the mold and inject around it? it doesn't melt? Quote Link to comment
JDNO7 0 Posted August 16, 2015 Report Share P.S. is that a straight tail minnow? did u buy that mold? Quote Link to comment
Cami 92 Posted August 17, 2015 Report Share Dear JDNO7, simply cut a pc. of mylar tube, with a dia. proportioned to the bait body, in 2 pcs. per length and glue them on the incave of valves with paper glue. In such way the mylar texture will be immediately down a thinner skin of plastic. Bye. Cami Quote Link to comment
