"Dew Drops"

These simple shaped little lures were inspired by some "Texas Shad" repaints that cullin8s posted awhile back. I'm not familiar with these baits but was intrigued with the simple beauty of them and decided to make something similar. The top one is just a flat cutout 3/4 of an inch thick. The other two get progressively thinner and tapered at the tail. They all have a belly weight and beginning with the top one which is about 3/4" behind the belly hook, and moving forward with the bottom one having the weight around the belly hook screw eye. Don't know what they'll do yet but they were fun to make. Thanks cullin8s for the inspiration.

Just came across these little cuties for the first time in the random gallery pics , ...........really a great inspiration to me !

I'd leave the outer shape and thickness in general , but taper the flanks towards the nose , put in a single weight somewhat rear to have it sink level a few inches per second , ........mount the line tie right at the tip of the nose , ........maybe even add some kinda tail , ..........should make up for a very lively glider jerkbait !

Thanks a lot for sharing :worship: , ........greetz , diemai :yay:

Made a prototype the way described above out of PVC and to my surprise it did not work at all , it just darted straight forward !

The lure is thru-wired , so what I actually did to still get it to "walk-the-dog" underwater is to snip off the belly hook hanger eye and place a belly screw eye more towards the fatter portion , so that the lure now swims "the ordinary way" fatter portion forward .

During the first bath tub test it worked fine this way , just busy topcoating it , will post a pic some day from now !
