Braided Line 252 Posted May 12, 2016 Report Share The bottom lure in your pic with the really cool paint job(Zebra type strips) is eye catching ! Nicely done! Quote Link to comment
All Eyes 286 Posted May 13, 2016 Report Share Thank you! The stripes are done with a stencil and the transparent orange is overlaid on top. I've made many different variations of these using different colors. Some of them come out pretty cool. These are pretty easy to paint compared to some other ones. Quote Link to comment
Offshore G 38 Posted May 25, 2016 Report Share I like them all! The middle one is a kind of neon blue gill, tried to paint one the other day.....didn't go too well lol Quote Link to comment

There are 8 different colors in that neon gill not including the white base coat. It used to take me forever to paint those but I'm getting a lot faster on my gill baits now. Keep working on it! All Eyes 286 Posted May 26, 2016 Report Share I'll definitely give it another try. That colour kills in our dams down here .... Once I lay down the scale pattern, I lay down a thin transparent pink in front (gill area) and transparent Caribbean blue in back by the tail. The two colors meet in the middle. Then I paint the gills with green/brown mix and go over the top with the same green/brown with a drop or two of black mixed in. That mixture is also what I use for the stripes. The belly is chartreuse in back and orange in front. Hope this helps! Quote Link to comment
