Shellcracker

I take most of my pics inside and try to use a white background. My camera is an old Olympus 2.0 megapixel so I need all the help I can get, LOL but here is a couple things I do. First of all I usually use a tripod and timer so the camera is as still as possible. I use macro a lot but sometimes I use regular mode and hold a coffee filter over the flash to act as a soft box to diffuse the light, experiment with folding the filter until you get the flash toned down to where you want it. Also I've found the flash setting with the star and moon (lost the book a long time ago so I don't know what the setting is called) works pretty good but you definitely need the tripod for this one. My photography is hit and miss so don't take my advice too seriously but experiment some and see what you come up with. Oh, nice "Shellcracker" by the way!

My picture taking sucks as well, no help with that. But I am really impressed how you painting has been improving over the last few months.
