Both need a little more color contrast and accent on the details. Your colors are actually pretty good, but the crappie just has too much of that grayish pearl all over it. Think about how a real crappie looks, with its silver white, light greens, black lines of spots; the fins are a different color than the body, the head, gills, mouth parts, are all very distinct. The same with the bluegill, you could add more red, yellow, orange, brown; make the different body parts color and line distinctive like the gill flaps, fins, gills. The colors you have on there are good, you just need more of them!

dont listen to them lol, just kidding, but in honesty remember sometimes the fish are not after photorealism. Sometimes the differences you put into your colors are what make them work.

I second C8 there. Sometimes a darker silhouette color is what the fishes are looking for.
