Thanks Mark. The black specs is a technique called stippling done by turning the pressure down to almost nothing on the airbrush. Pull the trigger back to load the tip with paint and then it spits when you press the trigger.  

Interesting technique, you have it dialed in. I've tried a splatter technique using a toothbrush for creating vermiculation on duck decoys. I bet that would work on lures too. I like that mottling effect you created. Mark

Thanks Mark. If you find that it's making spots that are too large or just making an uncontrollable mess, turn your pressure down.  Practice on scrap until you get comfortable. I've screwed up quite a few paint jobs trying to get cute. 

What did you use for your topcoat? Nice clarity and looks like a heavy thick coat.

TY! I use a minimum of 2 coats of EnviroTex epoxy on my baits. 

Nice. Do you brush it on or airbrush it on? Do you use a rotary Turner during curing?  Curious how you keep the clear coat off the eyelets. Thanks.

Yes I brush it on and turn them on a wheel.
