This reminds me of the old school Rapala foiled lures only better executed in it's details.  Very nice work.

The Rapala lures were my inspiration for this method. Only instead of a metallic base, I wanted a holographic one. 

nice how long it is? what kind of wire is this ?i would like to get another kind of wire other than the one we buy for spinnerbaits. i would like something near .62. do you have ever use piano string or stainless steel welding wire ?  nicer than the ''real'' one

.041 Harbor freight stainless wire. pretty cheap stuff. The lure is 7" long.

No real spring action. I have to apologize. I thought I was commenting on my handmade basswood bait. This is a discontinued factory blank. I have no idea what the wire size is .Probably .061 if I had to guesstimate. This blank is fatter than the Rapala blanks. Weighs in at about 1-1/4 oz. You may be able to find a few on E-bay.
