What are you talking about? It has a 3” wide lip. It dives 30’ with 50ft line out. I can make it dive 6’ cranking it on a dock. 

i guess he was talking when line ties is near the end of the lip?

I don’t know what he was talking about.. 

I can only go on what I see. With the tow eye so close to the front of the lip, the water forces will push the bait flat, and with nothing to keel the lure, it will likely turn over.
