Hi my name is Nolan and I am 14 and this is my entry. This sail fish lure is one of a kind! It started off with three separate pieces of wood which were carved into the tail, the fin, and the main body. Then all of these were put together using pins and glue. After glueing it went to sanding, lots and lots of sanding. Next I sealed the wood and painted it however did not like how it turned out the first time so sanded the paint of and painted again. Then it was time to put the eyes in however I did not revive the ones I ordered from lure parts online a week and a half ago so I had to improvise, I just made my own. After that they were glued in and the bait was clear coated. However also in the order from lure parts online there were screw eyes and so that is why there are nails where they would normally be.
