diemai 234 Posted November 6, 2008 Report Share A pretty nice "clown" color finish , I like it , though I'd prefer such a pattern for a crankbait rather than a topwater lure(if that's what even it is , lol ?) . greetz , diemai Quote Link to comment

Kazan 10 Posted November 6, 2008 Report Share people around here like a lot this pattern for topwater lures... I've heard once that in US most use natural colors or dark ones for topwaters... Here many people love light patterns, with many fluorescent colors, white, "bone"... When it comes to crankbaits I don't know much about them, but I'll remember you suggestion when I try to make some of them... Thanks!!! Quote Link to comment
SmokeyJ 10 Posted November 6, 2008 Report Share How are you embossing that pattern on your foil? Are you imprinting the scale pattern and then rubbing in the gills and fins afterwards? Quote Link to comment
Kazan 10 Posted November 7, 2008 Report Share Smokey, first I apply one piece of foil with the body pattern. Over it I put another foil with the head and gills, and the pectoral finn. Some light details I make after these steps with a round point needle. Quote Link to comment
