jointed perch

Here is a jointed perch that i made over thanksgiving break. It is made out of basswood. it weighs about 1.5 ounces and is 7 inches long and is a inch in diameter. I tried to paint a perch pattern with scales and it didnt turn out so good:nono:, then i tried to paint some head details, that didnt turn out so good either. i am just amazed at how good at painting you guys are ( you make it look easy:eek:). the ony thing that i think turned out good on this bad boy is that it swims really well.

This is my first lipped bait and when i was doing experiments with lip size i was amazed at how much difference the size of the lip makes. my first attempt at a lip made the lure not even swim. i cut out a huge lip and to my surprise the lure actually swam:lol:.

Another thing that i need to work on is figuring out how to take pictures. Im not very good at it, can you tell:D. Last but not least i would like to thank everyone on this forum for all the help and advice that they share with people all around the world.

Nothing wrong with this bait. Key thing is the action and I think it looks nice, I like the shape.

I just started building baits myself and these guys on this list are a talented bunch. Gives us something to shoot for.
