7" trout finished

Here are five of the six 7" trout I made from PVC decking. The sixth is tied on to my rod for tomorrow.

There are two floaters, weighing 70grams+-, and four sinkers, rate of fall 1'/second+-, which weigh approx. 80 grams each.

I found the PVC a little harder to machine than wood, but the baits are so much harder and impact resistant it is worth the extra work.

I did these as a test run, to see how long it would take per lure. It averages out to 2 1/2 hours each. With $15 in supplies, I think I'd have to sell them for $75 to make money, and make it worth my while.

But these are just for fun. One is already promised to a buddy for his birthday.

Once again, thanks to Captsully for the tails. :yay:

Didn't you hear me singing happy birthday to you?

I hope you've been able to get yourself an air brush setup.

It makes painting so much easier, and faster, and there are a ton more colors available.

With you rattle can skills, I can only imagine what you could do with an air brush.
