I would switch the rear hook to a bigger , longshanked one , since the tips of the prop are potruding too much over the hookpoints , could result into less hook ups like this !

That's a nice looking bait. Should be killer in the spring and fall, or whenever the fish are feeding on top.

I agree with Dieter. That rear hook does look kind of dwarfed by the prop.

You can extend it back with a series of split rings if you can't find hooks with long enough shanks, but a larger hook will get into the fish's mouth before he hits the prop.

thank you Mark! I like your Idea as well. I wanted to change out the hook for a longer shank hook but don't have one on hand. I'll try adding more split rings and see how this works.

Can't wait for spring to arrive to give this one a try!!! Guess I'll pump out a few more while I wait8O
