New cranks I got done.

Not the best, but getting better. These are hand painted lipless crankbaits I made over the past week. Takes me a while to get to it lol.

You can see where the foil split on the bottom one. Downside to silver leaf I guess, but I am just trying to get through the stuff and goto foil tape probably. They are both weighted to the front and swim great.

do you cut them down the middle and add rattles and a through wires? Not that there needed sometimes I think rat-l-traps are to loud but I'm thinking about making some hard baits and wonder if you ever have problems with just the eye screws coming out on hang-ups or a big'n ?

Nice lures you've made there ,......in my point of view it's not that easy to achieve the proper weighting and action on such lipless vibrating lures !

Concerning those uneven foil transitions on back and belly , first cover the bare foil with epoxy(or similar) topcoat , after paint over (also) back and belly with your desired color pattern , this would hide those little foil flaws .

greetz , diemai:yay:

Thanks diemai, thats some good advice. I think they get more messed up from handling them also. So that would help protect em.

As far as the rattles, i have not been adding them. I was thinking about it, but I just never got around to making something. These shake pretty good though, I would think the hook and split ring would atleast make some noise.

I have not been able to pull any of my eye screws out. They are twisted wire that I use CA glue in. I usually drill a pilot hole that is smaller, then hand twist the eyelet in to get "threads". Once the glue and the eyelet are in, it does not move.
