First Working Swimbaits

This is the first swimbaits that I have been able to get to swim. I am really surprised at how easy the PVC was to work with. Many thanks to everyone for all the tips and advice. TU Rocks!:yay: I made a couple of videos of these. It is poor quality but it shows them swimming. I will try to get it up in the forum later tonight.

V-Man I think it was the tapering of the sides of the body from first joint to head and first joint to tail. One of the post that was made by Snax had a set of 6 rules for making a successful swimbait. That was one of them and it worked for me. The single joint Balsa lure was the lure from the thread titled "A Different Hinge" It was another dud until I put a bib in it as suggested by JR Hopkins in recent post.

John, Congrats on getting the swim bait to swim. I went through this myself not long ago and learned much through the fine folks here on TU and also by failure. Tapering the sides worked for me also, but some are able to get them to swim with zero taper and swim nice. :?

Now you have a solid place to start for your next build. :yay:
