articulated pectoral fins

made this bait ( 7", medium sinking, ) and wanted to try an idea i had to make the pecs moveable. they lie flat on the retrieve and flair out at rest, approx. 120 degrees from the body. slight movement makes them move back and forth. i made a mini hinge that the fibetts are mounted in and the hinge pin legs are epoxied into the body. pretty cool just to watch it in the water. i'll post a video when i can get someone to help film and the &*%# rain stops.

Well, I think the fins are absolutely cool. Wonder how long it will be before this gets copied commercialy? :?

What is really cool is the overall profile and how it looks from the side versus the large gaps on many swimbaits. Section distribution, and realistic fin distribution all just wow!

It is easy to look past the paint job. Check out the blend of colors and how they are applied. I have been staring at it trying to figure out how it was done and UNCLE, this is just an awesome bait. We need a new how to book and video from JR one of the masters of swimbaits that is for sure. :worship::worship::worship: Heck I'd be happy with a painting lesson!

76gator, what is amazing is John paints his baits by hand. He has a video that runs you through his process. Stellar work from start to finish.
