After looking at the gallery, I think I'm going to start mailing out my swim baits to have you pro's paint them for me. You guys make this look so easy. It can get kinda of frustrating. I need a step by step how to paint a swim bait tutorial....with videos, paint samples, pre cut stencils, something to hold my hand steady....etc., etc.:teef:

Nice bait! Just keep painting and don't ever be afraid of blending new combinations of colors on your baits, that is one way you learn the subtleties that turn good into great. Nobody that I know of gets there overnight.

@ Bob, thanks for the kind words.

@ Dean, I totally agree with you, about just getting out there & doing it. I feel like I'm getting the body down a little better, I just have to learn to use the stencils better & blend the colors as you mentioned. I'm not an artist by any means, so I can't picture what I want to do next. Trial & error, thats my middle name. Thanks for the encouragement.

Do you like to lay down lighter colors, then darker or the opposite?
