Friend wanted me to make a scaled down version so here are some photos to compare the new size to the larger size bait.

The new one is scaled down all the way around and is just not shorter. 2.5" and .32 oz/9.2g versus 2.8" and .42oz/11.8g hooks and all.

Hope you enjoy.

pretty nice baits:yes: , .........greetz , diemai:yay:

Diemai, it is balsa on these versions. The key is you don't want them too heavy, the beads are hollow versions and minimal belly weighting. They cast very well at this weight. I do a basswood version also, but face it, basswood just takes longer to handle and work with so I have begun to really like the balsa. The basswood is a tad heavier and thus casts a little further, but the down side is the bouyancy difference requires a smaller rear prop than an equivalent sized balsa version. The basswood version would probably hold up to toothy fish better, but I target LM & SM Bass predominantly. If I still lived up north I KNOW the Pike and Musky would eat em up!
