I like them all. I'm a topwater junkie and throw them any chance I can. I noticed you have the line tie roughly .25 - .375 down from center, how do they run? Curious, how big are these and what type of wood did you use? Did you weight the very tail or just under the tail? I've been messing around with a couple that have the lower line tie and I like the way they run.

Bet you sell them all.

Sorry about not putting in the description of the lures, lol i forgot and realized when I pushed submit:huh:. But the weight I put about half inch from the rear of the tail, I also did some with a lil bit of lead in front of the middle hook hanger and and I have seen that you get more of a glide with it this way. But the wood I used is some hard balsa, I love balsa hehehe. And the larger lures are about 5 inches long and the smaller one is about 4.5 inches long and the big ones weigh about 3/4 ounce and the smaller is about half ounce. They barely float in the water with there heads pointing out. The action of the lures are the way that i like my topwaters to walk, lol well its more like a run... but i prefer a really fast walk, (thats the way that the wipers like it). Then these twitch very well, sometimes I throw these over submerged bushes for bass and just barely twitch em. I agree with ya on the lower line tie to, experimented with some just directly in the middle and i noticed that the lure wanted to go more underwater.

But if you like topwater action a whole lot another goodlure is a wakebait! These are another fun one that i like to fish:teef:.

Thanks for the complement, but for the top coat I thinned Devcon 2 ton 30 minute epoxy. I also thin it out with acetone. You can use denatured alcohol to but I like the faster cure time the the acetone. Also if you use the acetone to thin out the epoxy make sure you are in a well ventilated area, you might get a lil loopy haha:drool:

Just came across these , Jacob , ....pretty nice sticks you've made there:yes: , .......I love them !

This old-time "spook" design turned out to be the most productive topwater bait for local pike for me , I'd turn them preferably from lightwood broom handles(don't even know the name of that wood) .

I'd place the weight at about the transition of the cylindrical body to the tail taper , sometimes also directly on the shank of the tail eyescrew(has a shorter , but sharper glide path this way) .
