Beautiful. I love how you've used the grain. Is the grain pattern consistent in that type of wood, or do you have to search to find the pieces that have it?

thats very cool makes me think of a beetle for some reason...might have to try some natural type finishes like this one day!

Its wood used in door frames here, just grabbed a random piece and shaped it. Its very hard to seal properly though!!! Meranti seems quite consistant with its grain on the planks I have.
