Jody, it is mostly an elusion in how the photo was taken. The through wiring is virtually level and the mid back portion actually rides higher than where the front hook hangs. I did test them out at my local pond, and they work great.

That's a really nice lure. Nice paint scheme and paint job. Original idea.

Wicked looking bait. It looks like it will sturr up some water.
