spoopa 10 Posted August 24, 2009 Report Share Those are amazing Pete! I really like the gold ones though, they would be killer on trout up here8O Quote Link to comment

rofish 2 Posted August 25, 2009 Report Share The lip is red because it is still an experimental one. So Pete doesn't yet know if it makes any difference in fishing. But I'm sure he will post his findings after a while. If my eyes do not cheat me, it seems that the eylets are not made out of wire, isn't it so? They seem to be made out of metal (brass?) sheet. hazmail 203 Posted August 26, 2009 Report Share Thanks fellas - yes I made these for trout and maybe a bit of a run for bream next week at the coast. Mark/Rofish I thought I would try a red lip for a change, I saw 'Rapala' using them on their 'Bleeding Minnows' which have been accounting for a few trout around here, also yellow/ green is catching a few too, so I might also try yellow lips on a few as well, and might call them 'Jaundiced Minnows' Ha! Ha! ------- the hook hangers are made from sheet brass (one piece 1mm thick), I had them punched out (3000 of them) to make assembly easier when I was selling lures about 25 years back, and still have the 'Die' for them, but don't have that many hangers left - Pete Quote Link to comment
mark twain 19 Posted August 27, 2009 Report Share thanks hazmail ! red lips I saw at other branded lures too (Salmo lures as egg); at chub fishing I noticed sometimes is making the difference; the pattern of the lures they used is different than your, so please keep us updated regading your pattern combination on the lure posten and the red lips Quote Link to comment
