Lance 10 Posted January 23, 2010 Report Share I like it! Something kinda unique. I carve from basswood also. My basswood blocks are one and one eighth wide by one and one eighth inch high by eight inches long. The lack of width and heighth sometimes limits what I can do. Did you do this with that size wood block? I wonder how it might work if it had each of its legs attached by apposing screw eyes in a "broken back" fashion? Quote Link to comment
koop 11 Posted January 24, 2010 Report Share I have basswood that is one and one eight inch thick by 2 1/2" to 8" wide and about 3 feet long. A local furniture manufacturer sold me stacks of it approximately 4 foot by 3 foot by 5 feet high ($5 per bundle - I got 2). It should last for a while. It would probably work better with the legs attached with screw eyes. I have 2 or 3 other different frogs carved waiting to be finished. Quote Link to comment
