6" Crappie Glide Bait

Yake Bait
 Share

Maple plug, 6" long with foil base. 1 oz of lead melted in two separate holes, one on either side of the belly hook. Would have preferred a single hole but the hook was at the balance point of the bait. Action is a very tight side to side when jerked, and on a straight retrive you could almost make a case for this being a lipless crank bait as it has a very tight wobble.

Ended up a little heavier than I was shooting for after putting the last coat of epoxy on. Oh well, I will just have to make a shallow water version of the same bait!
