Geppa® 0 Posted March 10, 2010 Report Share If I were you, I'd tell how I did an absolute masterpiece like this: revealing this technique is a kind of moral duty that you have with the other lure builders. Jokes a part, it's one of the most beautiful plug (if not the most beautiful at all) that I've ever seen and I've been looking at it for two hours just wondering how the hell could I obtain that splendid effect. My compliments for all your works. Quote Link to comment
Lure--Prof 12 Posted March 11, 2010 Report Share Okay Fingers, fess-up! What did you make that prop out of, and if you don't give us a straight answer, you're going to have to change your name to fatlips!!! Your friend (but don't mess with me!), Dean Oh yeah, Fine dam lure! (or probably anywhere else you want to throw it!) Quote Link to comment
fatfingers 90 Posted March 12, 2010 Report Share Ok, here's the straight answer on the prop material. Its a long one. In 1969 I was incarcerated for kidnapping midgets. My MO was throwing pizza into the trunk of a 1966 Lincoln Continental. When the midgets would jump in the trunk after the pizza, I'd slam the lip shut. I sold me a lot of midgets before the feds caught up with me and threw me in the can. In prison there was this guy named Bubba. Bubba got fresh and I midget-tossed him over the rail of the second-deck tier. Later that same year, he caught me off guard and came at me with a large shiv. I disarmed him and kept the shiv. Finally over 40 years later, I pounded that shiv into a flat sheet and cut it into props for my Torpedo baits. The stuff worked great until I finally ran out of stock in late 2009. Since then I just cut them out of .22 gauge stainless that I get from a local supplier. Quote Link to comment
