Strike King repaint

As a guy who doesn`t paint, I`d like to see a little more orange blended into that throat area.

Try shooting the stripes freehand. It's easy once you get the hang of it, and it gives a more natural look.

That looks great, I like the way you have done the vertical bars on that one. If they we freehand I recon you are pretty close

Thanks guys. The stripes were done by slicing a thin strip from a sponge and then dipping the corners of the strip in paint. I wish I could freehand stripes, gills, etc., but I'm still not there yet.

Mike, I almost forgot. Thanks for telling me about using the sponges.

RIP PAPER TOWELS.... Ray.... then just shoot the edges of the towels.. You can make some cool fire tiger stripes. The tiny fibers of the paper towel gives added detail. Sand paper works too if you want a stronger tool that is easier to handle when you go to spray your paint. Or you could even rip some green duck tape and stick on it so it doesnt move.. just shoot the TAPE edge and let the over spray fade the vertical line detail.
