I have painted a few also your baits look great I only see 1 problem though.......................they arent in my box!!!!!

Thanks guys. I'm starting to get a little more comfortable free handing some of the detail work like the accents and lateral lines and it really makes painting much more enjoyable.

@Mike.........Not having to try and make each side a mirror image of the other sure makes things easier. And if you screw up a little on the one side you can just say you intended to do that. lol You can't imagine how many plastic baits I've made puff up like toad frogs while "heat setting" the paint. If there's one thing I'm NOT guilty of it's not heat setting the paint enough. You can heat set metal spoons until the cows come home. Or at least until the paint blisters or your scorch your fingers. At which point the bait your working on becomes another "S.O.B." lure. lol

These turned out very nice and neat , .....I suppose , that you've left the reverse side plain polished ?

But to me this exactly seems to be a problem about painting brass or stainless steel spoons , .......their surface is so shiny , that I've always had concerns about proper paint adhesion on those surfaces , ........I've done some spoons hand-brushing them with model making enamels or plating them with sprinkled-on glitter flakes , ....for perfect adhesion I've at least buffed the surface with coarse sandpaper or even sandblasted them at my work .

Thanks Dieter. Yes, the back sides were left as is with the polished chrome untouched. On the painted sides I scuffed the finish with 400 grit sandpaper to give the paint something to bite onto. On the spoons that weren't completely covered with paint the top coat pretty much filled in the scuff marks so it's hardly noticeable. I must say I took a good long look at many of your spoons before starting work on these. Thanks for the inspiration.
