"My Live Wire"

Recently finished this, my version of Pflueger's "Live Wire". Turned from poplar, 5" long, three belly weights, hook point dorsal fin, glass eyes, hammered brass props and painted in a ????????? pattern, LOL. I started out ot do a Heddon style "Black Sucker" pattern but I'm not sure you could call it that now. The back is black spattered and misted with gold fading to a yellow gold belly spattered with black. The sides have a faint stripe of flourescent pink that is mostly hidden by the light silvery scales until the light hits it just right. And the yellow dot, fin tips and gill marks............. ? one time I look at it I love'em and the next time I look at them I hate'm :P . Maybe a Musky will like'm.

What makes this bait special is its uniqueness - it's not like a hundred other prop baits out there on the market. And besides, it's not what you or we think about the yellow markings, it's what Mamma Esox thinks....and I think she'll love em'.

Plop-plop-plop-plop-SWOOSH!

(topwater sound, followed by violent strike)
