Toxicbaits 14 Posted February 22, 2011 Report Share when I made my plaster molds I would lay the baits in a box oer something flat with edges and glue em down then pour the plaster over them.. this way the top is perfectly flat on the baits. also vibrate the table with a back massager to release air bubbles in the casting process. I got about 20 ospreys out of my last plaster mold. Cool deal.. looks good Quote Link to comment
Green_Fingers 1 Posted February 22, 2011 Report Share Looks like a good first attempt, I would be a bit cautious about pouring hot plastic into a pop mild with a rounded bottom though wouldn't be very stable i would think. Simon Quote Link to comment
jesse1378 2 Posted February 23, 2011 Report Share not bad for first try. here's a couple quick suggestions that i learned the hard way 1) go to the dollar store and get their cheap tupperware...if you are gentle you can use it to make many molds. they will me uniform and easily stackable. 2) buy a role of double sided tape. one of my first molds was of trick worms mold came out great. and it cost me like 3 bucks for the tupperware and tape and i got the bis bucket of POP so like 10 bucks for that. keep up the good work.
