I was used to taking my quantums apart before I started painting. I always have took them apart to clean, polish and relube every year. I know them inside and out. I am not comfortable doing that with any reel. I have not owned a lot of other types of reels over the years.

Hopefully its not to big of a problem I am taking apart a Pfluger reel so I will see how it goes this winter when I can't go outside to do stuff.
