Lure--Prof 12 Posted July 25, 2007 Report Share Thanks for the compliments guys I really do appreciate them! The one on the right I call a Craw-Babe; I've made several different versions of it, all on the same basic platform with varying amounts of carved features. This version exhibits the least amout of carving I've done on one. It is a very lively design, with a combinations of wiggling, wobbling, pumping, and hunting, and as such, is not a bait that will take a fast retrieve. There are times though when the bait absolutely kills, as when craws are active on shallow mud flats, day or night. It's one of those stories where I made only one, and soon was getting orders for many more. For awhile last summer, I couldn't make them fast enough. Dwain, the bait on the far left is my bread and butter bait, in one of my favorite colors. They run 5 to 8 feet and come through cover really well while deflecting nicely, makes for a good bank and laydown cranker. If you look hard you can barely see some vertical (silver) stripes going through the blue and yellow; just a little heavier color than the 3rd (sexy shad) bait from the left. Quote Link to comment
Dweller 10 Posted July 25, 2007 Report Share Hey Dean Good Work! I like all the baits. I like how you use the transparent colors over the shad dot it make it look faded. I also like the black lines on the scale pattern on the far right bait. Send me one and then you can call it the Dirty five. LOL Quote Link to comment
