i cut my lure blanks out from maple boards by using a pendulum jig saw and some metal blades, they cut like butter to the hard maple. i just trace out the shapes of the lures to be wooden board and just follow the pen lines with the saw, simple as that. about the action its sort of like a violent roll its little hard to disgrace.
