Hello gang check this out. A few of my larger swimbaits went swimming in mexican waters and a 100 pound yellow fin tuna decided to eat my bait. Now the hook in this bait was not designed to be fished on these larger monster tuna but this feedback was awesome it has now given me some insight as to insert a hook that will withstand the brute force of these monsters. Those fish will soon be in those boats. In this picture you will see a standard Mustad 6/0 heavy gauge jighook that the monster fish straighten out with no problem. Per the anglers story he fought the monster for 25 minutes and the fish was at deep color before the hook went straight. The great new is that the fish found my handmade lure good enough to eat. All of this hard work is starting to pay off and has given me more of a motivation in perfecting my lures. Till next time gang.
