  3. Mike the CLIT bib is destined to be a hit with fish and fishermen. The action will surely catch bass. Thank you for sharing the photo and info. Nothing worse than having a CLIT and not knowing what it is good for.

  4. I pour indoors but I'm in the basement on a concrete floor. I have a rather old but large work bench and I flux and pour inside but, I also have a fan on one side and a window on the the other, with the door lead upstairs cracked open, it creates a constant flow of air that takes the smoke and fumes right out the window. So if you have a safe away to pour inside it is ok but don't flux, it will flame up and it will smoke and cause fumes, but whatever you do, be careful.

  5. Now that I know how my old shop teacher did it a thought just came to me, did any of you ever happen to have just an tiny little speck of water ever just touch their melted lead? You see, I was pouring one day and did the usual heating of the mold and stuff but it was summer and after a while I was sweating a bit and just 1 little bead fell from my forehead and hit my work bench that then caused a little part of that bead to end up in my mold just as I began to pour and you know what happened next? Well to be blunt it blew up, yep as soon as the molten lead hit that little part of a bead of sweat it erupted, good thing for safety glasses, it was so nasty I don't want any thing that is remotely moist near me when I pour and these guys stick their fingers in water and then into lead and it didn't blow up, go figure.

  6. I think the z-man chatterbait is patented too. However, I have an In-Fisherman book titled "Bass" that has a picture of the freaking lure. The book was published in 1986 and they talk about the lure like it was from the 70s. Point being, you can patent anything if you have the $... even if it was already invented. As for the @-rig, I was in favor of the "little guy" making it and I can understand them wanting to protect their name. But really, they need to attack the companies that ARE stealing the rig for significant financial gain. Heck, I recall Tackle Warehouse have one that was boasting about Paul Elias victory with the @-rig on the same freakin' page that they were selling the knock off. But I guess attacking people (aka the consumer) that are FANS of their lure seems to be easier. BTW, I'm patenting the universal lure as of right now. It has every action known and to be known to man and is made from everything, some things, and/or absolutely nothing all at the same time. It has immeasurable dimensions and the ability to get around every loophole in any fishing regulation. I call it, the MASTER-BAIT-------r! (TM!)
