  3. I am with you on this post. I have two microwaves and a griddle. A machine does not take the place for a good system. I do use presto pots but more time than not it is a microwave and griddle. Can change colors in ten minutes. Can heat a quart of plastic in 7minutes and thirty seconds. Two of them gets me twice as much. The rest is adding color and glitter. Nothing can beat a good system!!!

  4. Gino--I made pretty much exactly what you describe quite a few years back (just added a 18V Ryobi last month) --For many years I had been using a home made spring steel blade but recently I have been using a 85mm x 2.0 x 24T and a 76mm x1.5 x 24T blade (both tungsten T), both blades cost about $20 ea and the saw drives them through hardwood no problem-- If we can get these here, they must be over there somewhere?? 5. I have a couple of questions in regards to presto ports. I'm getting to the point I am finding my current microwave method is slowing me down and want to move up to presto pots. I know some guys use mixer's and some don't. I had been looking at the Bear's presto pot with mixer. Do yall turn the mixer off when you draw up your platic into the injector? I notcied that the Bear's has a spout on the bottom, what is that for? Never used presto pots before, always just used microwave and pyrex. I've read several posts about the shooting star system's but I don't know if I need to go that route yet. But if I do can you use just one pot for single colors? With reading the other post's in the search I saw a lot of back in forth about who had the better system, this is not my intention with this post and please refrain doing so. I'm just looking for how they operate and to operate them if I go any of those routes so I can make sure I set them up properly and don't mess anything up in the process.

  6. Like I said I'm sure TJ'S is better. But I was able to make two of them for less then $15.00.

  7. You can also try coating the ends in liquid electricians tape. I use a c-clamp bench vise because I couldnt find a vise locally to hold larger hooks and well, because I'm cheap. Had trouble w slippage but the liquid saved the day. Just a thought.
