  3. The company that was making those for us went out of business. Your best bet is to buy the straight wires with a snap and then bend your own loop. I know this is pain but it is what you will probably have do. JBarlow

  5. So would you suggest using a small metal rod to mold the hole in the bait and then later slide a sleeve in like say maybe a small coffee straw?

  6. Have a customer that does that to soften tails on swimbaits to get more action out of the tails.

  7. A comment about my experience with different MCU's. I've tried Dick Nite as well as a couple of other brands formulated for coating floors, such as Garco. The floor brands are much cheaper but were thicker, less clear, and behaved differently than Dick Nite. When I scrape the finish off a Dick Nite coated lure, it seems the MCU penetrated through the acrylic paint and bonded with the underlying substrate (metal or plastic). That's a very durable finish, as good as you'll get with a factory finish. The floor brand MCU's I tried did not penetrate the acrylic paint and were therefore inferior. That difference is particularly important when coating metal blades (which is what Dick Nite is really formulated for), but it also applies to any lure.

  10. I followed Dave's advice, and weighted both sections of my glide bait to fall horizontally, and at the same rate. That took away any hinge binding, and resulted in a successful build. Thanks again Dave.

  11. You're either orienting the injector wrong and need to spin it 90 degrees or there is too much of a temperature difference between the 2 pots. With the presto pots you cannot go by the temperature setting on the pots, you have to actually check the plastic temp

  12. Built a belt for a cooling fan out of rope one time. Worked for about 2 months. You'd be surprised what you can do when you ignore all the "that won't work" chatter that everyone throws at you while your doing something out of the ordinary. Ben

  13. Everyone knows bass only eat baits which are covered by either a registered trademark or a patent.

  14. Ben, Didn't you say you filed a small flat on the upper screw's shaft, so you only had to remove it part way to let air in? Or was that in another galaxy, far, far away?
