  1. Hey all, Just wanted to put up a good word about Enforcer bait molds, I'm a hobby guy who just bought his first ever machined aluminum 2 pc mold, a 2 cavity grub, and the thing works awesome, the order process was easy, and I had the mold 5 days after order. Not affiliated with the company, just a guy who appreciates good service when he gets it and is willing to spread the word.

  4. Just as an avid wacky wormer, why not try to make some weedguards out of 30-40lb mono? Maybe a double or "v" shaped guard.

  6. I will be trying this method next time. There is nothing more tedious than getting resin or silicone on your hands. The idea reminds me of my time as an apprentice, working on the shop floor, with rubber sealants. They were a two part mix, like epoxy, and real nasty stuff to get off. The soap paste that we used was similar to what you have described, an abrasive mixture. Unpleasant to use but effective. Hands were so smooth after use. BIG thankyou to daughter for the reminder. Very good idea. Dave

  7. There are a few jigs that I prefer a smaller weedguard in. When I pour, I put normal pins in. When I paint, I do not put in the Teflon pins, but instead let the paint fill up the hole. I bake, then using a drill bit the size of my weedguard, drill out the paint. You have a nice perfect size hole.

  8. I started out with hot plates still use one to heat my injectors. There is a learning curve for using them. Thin bottom pans are a no no! get a pan that is thick on the bottom, Also u don't turn on high to get plastic hot quick. U will burn it. Stir pretty much all the time while u are heating. Sometimes i put a 1/4" metal plate on mine to spread the heat and i use it to sit my pyrex cups on to keep it warm now. Move your knob only small amount at a time when u find your sweet spot mark it . Mine is about a 1/4 knob to keep plastic hot and just past that to get it hot. After u get your plastic hot back your knob off as it will keep getting hotter. U don't heat a pot of plastic in just couple min heat it slow and stir. I burned a few pots learning the curve. One day i was cleaning my injector while heating plastic and was not keeping a close eye on my plastic next thing i knew i had orange plastic instead of white!! I would go into the thrift stores keep an eye for the thick small pots i have got several there for like 2.00- 3.00 dollars. or less. Cub48
